On seven of the roads in question, the pollutant levels are still so high that the current speed limit remains in place. On nine others, the speed limit will remain in place for road safety reasons - for example in front of daycare centers or retirement homes, as Bonde explained. For the remaining 25 main roads, it will first be examined whether a 30 km/h speed limit is necessary for certain sections for reasons of school safety. Following an amendment to the road traffic regulations, this is now mandatory for "highly frequented school routes".
