Berlin set to get new neighborhood in the far west
Space for at least 2,400 apartments and 5,000 residents - and perhaps an Olympic Village: What’s behind the plan for a new urban district? more
Berlin also has sights worth seeing away from the city center - such as the Britzer Garten.

Whether it's a motorboat trip in Little Venice or a tour of the Unesco World Heritage Site in the garden city of Falkenberg: in Berlin, locals and tourists can once again explore sights away from the city center.
The "Ab ins B!" Entdeckertage (Discovery Days) are running until April 27. In the Britzer Garten in Neukölln, for example, the tulips are currently in bloom at the Tulipan flower exhibition. An "Instagram Walk" is offered on industrial culture in Oberschöneweide. On a tour in the footsteps of architect Hans Scharoun, you can visit his original studio. The campaign invites you to Berlin's special places outside of Mitte, as Senator for Economic Affairs Franziska Giffey (SPD) explains on Instagram. The program includes more than 200 different offers, including discounted admission, cultural events and creative hands-on activities.
