Fraud with false QR codes at car park ticket machines in Mitte

According to the district office, fraud involving fake QR codes for buying parking tickets on mobile phones is on the increase in Mitte.

This means that the official QR codes on parking ticket machines are being made unrecognisable and replaced with foreign codes. These QR codes lead to fraudulent websites through which personal data is collected. In order to protect yourself from such fraud, the district authority recommends that you only use the official websites of the providers for so-called mobile phone parking (Handyparken) or download the corresponding apps directly.
