Employees of Berlin's city cleaning service BSR are planning to strike again today. Among others, the Verdi trade union has called on street cleaning employees to go on warning strike. According to the BSR, "considerable restrictions" must be expected until Friday, for example when emptying public garbage cans.
From Wednesday to Saturday, all 14 BSR recycling centers will also be closed. "It will not be possible to accept waste." Other city cleaning services are also affected, such as waste collection: from Wednesday to Friday, the residual waste and organic waste garbage cans as well as the recycling garbage cans will not be emptied. Disposal will only take place again on the next regular collection date, BSR announced.
