Warning strike at German airports

Passengers drag suitcases through the hall of Terminal 1 at BER Airport.

The trade union Verdi is extending its warning strikes to the larger German airports on Monday. Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) is also affected.

Public service and ground transportation workers are to strike all day on Monday, according to union publications.

No arrivals and departures at BER airport on Monday

Due to the work stoppages, regular flight operations will have to be suspended on this day, according to the operator. All scheduled departures and arrivals will be affected by the strikes and can therefore not take place. Passengers affected are advised to contact their airline or tour operator to find out about the possibility of rebooking and alternative travel options. Flight operations are expected to resume at the start of operations on Tuesday.
