The Israeli-German psychologist Ahmad Mansour is to become a member of the Enquete Commission against anti-Semitism and hostility towards Muslims.

The commission of inquiry announced by the black-red coalition government to deal with anti-Semitism and hostility towards Muslims is due to begin its work soon.
The CDU and SPD have now decided who they want to send as experts to the commission. These include the Israeli-German psychologist Ahmad Mansour.
Mansour, who was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2022, is considered an expert in preventing extremism. He was born in Israel, has lived in Germany since 2004 and has also written numerous books on topics such as anti-Semitism, social radicalization and Islamism.
According to the coalition government, the commission will also include anti-Semitism researcher Marcus Funck and political scientist Stephan Grigat. Funck works at the TU Berlin, Grigat heads the Center for Anti-Semitism and Racism Studies at the Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia. Other members include educational scientist Maisha-Maureen Auma from Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, political scientist Barbara Zehnpfennig, whose research focuses on totalitarianism and extremism, social scientist Cihan Sinanoglu from the German Center for Integration and Migration Research and Jamuna Oehlmann, an expert in the prevention of extremism.
The Greens have opted for Dervis Hizarci, head of the Kreuzberg Initiative against Anti-Semitism, Marina Chernivsky, psychologist and managing director of the Anti-Semitic Violence and Discrimination Counselling Center (OFEK), and political scientist Roland Roth. The Left Party in the House of Representatives wants to send the former State Secretary for Anti-Discrimination, Saraya Gomis, to the commission. The members of the commission are to be elected at the next session of the state parliament on Thursday.
