Another warning strike at the BSR

Due to a warning strike at the Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR), the garbage cans in Berlin could overflow today.

The trade union Verdi is calling on employees to strike. According to the BSR, street cleaning and the BSR workshops are expected to be on strike all day.

Emergency service agreement for winter service

Considerable restrictions must be expected for street cleaning, for example when it comes to emptying public waste garbage cans. There is an emergency service agreement for winter service measures. Verdi wants to use the strikes to put pressure on the ongoing nationwide wage negotiations. Among other things, Verdi is demanding eight percent more money from the federal government and local authorities, but at least 350 euros more per month.
