When it comes to construction in Berlin, the black-red state government is aiming for more speed. more
The posters designed for this purpose will continue to be on display after the weekend celebrations to mark the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
From today, the posters will be on display in the foyer of the Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall), as announced by the Senate Chancellery. The banners will be on display until November 29. The Red City Hall is open from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 6 pm.
To mark the anniversary, 5,000 posters were put up along the former border. Some of the posters were replicas of historical posters from the 1989 demonstrations. On others, Berliners creatively expressed what democracy and freedom mean to them today and which values are important to them. Hundreds of thousands of people celebrated the anniversary of the fall of the Wall at the weekend. On Saturday evening, 700 professional and amateur musicians played a synchronized concert on several stages along the former Wall, including in front of the Brandenburg Gate.
