BVG donates tickets to volunteers

BVG

This year, BVG is donating 17,000 tickets to volunteers in Berlin.

Especially for older people with little money, traveling to the place where they volunteer is often a financial burden. "With these free tickets, we can alleviate this burden a little," said Senator for Social Services Cansel Kiziltepe (SPD). Gabriele Schlimper, Managing Director of the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband Berlin, said that the tickets are also a recognition for those who are there for others in their free time and provide support where help is needed. The association is responsible for issuing the tickets. They are issued by district or neighbourhood centers to social organizations and initiatives in the individual districts, which pass them on to volunteers.
