From November 20: Section of U8 closed for four weeks

U8 Wittenau

.

From November 20, there will be no trains on Berlin's subway line U8 between Osloer Straße and Alexanderplatz for the time being.

The subway will then run every seven and a half minutes between Wittenau and Osloer Straße, Berlin's public transport company BVG announced on Wednesday. The reason for the closure is the renewal of the track connection between Voltastraße and Bernauer Straße. The closure of the section will reportedly last until December 17. According to BVG, a barrier-free replacement bus service will be available. "For most passengers, it is advisable to take the S-Bahn or other U-Bahn lines to bypass the construction site."
