Old VBB tickets invalid from October

Paper tickets for public transportation purchased before April 1, 2023 from the Berlin Brandenburg Transport Association (VBB) will only be valid until the end of September.

The background is a price increase that has been in effect since April 1 in the transportation network of the VBB. Old tickets are only valid for six months after the introduction of new tariffs, as the consumer centers Berlin and Brandenburg informed on Wednesday. Anyone who still has a VBB paper ticket from before the fare increase must therefore use it until the end of September or exchange it for a new ticket.
