Transitional arrangement for Berlin-Ticket S extended

To ensure that all persons entitled to benefits can use the Berlin-Ticket-S for public transportation, the existing transitional arrangement will be extended until the end of September.

As there are delays in the changeover of the proof from the Berlin Pass to the VBB Customer Card Berlin S, the existing transitional arrangement will be extended a further time until September 30, 2023. This means that the Berlin-Ticket-S can also be used beyond June 30. This was announced by the Senate Department for Social Affairs on Thursday.

Conversion procedure optimized and improved

In order to simplify the changeover to the VBB customer card Berlin S, the online application process was improved at the beginning of June 2023: Undeliverable mail can now be identified and QR code on the credential unlocked several times. This also makes it possible to reapply. In addition, recipients of Bürgergeld can request a replacement certificate of eligibility from their responsible job center. Written applications are also possible - application forms are available in Berlin's Bürgerämter, among other places.
