Berlin's Senator for Justice Lena Kreck (Left Party) has taken over the chairmanship of the Conference of Ministers of Justice (JuMiKo).

"It is a personal concern of mine that the Conference of Justice Ministers is once again a driving force in the discussion of current legal policy issues," Kreck announced on this occasion on Monday. "Access to justice for all citizens is particularly close to my heart. More attention is due to freedom from discrimination, especially vulnerable groups."

Federal and state digital summit in spring

Last year, Bavaria chaired the JuMiKo, which focused, among other things, on the digitization of justice and the fight against anti-Semitism, child abuse, and hate and incitement. On Bavaria's initiative, there will be a federal and state digital summit in the spring, and Berlin will continue this commitment, according to the Senate Department of Justice. The spring meeting of the JuMiKo is reportedly planned for May 25 and 26 in Berlin at the Palais der Kulturbrauerei, and the fall conference on November 10, also in Berlin.
