On the occasion of the International Green Week, tractor parades and a large demonstration are planned for the weekend. Road users should expect road closures and traffic restrictions in the Tiergarten and Mitte areas.
According to the Berlin Traffic Information Centre (VIZ), a total of three tractor parades, each with 20 vehicles, will start a rally to the Brandenburg Gate at around 7 am on Saturday. From there, the tractors will drive to the Foreign Office and back at 10 am.
The Straße des 17. Juni and Ebertstraße are expected to be fully closed in both directions between Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße and Behrenstraße or Scheidemannstraße from 8 am. A large demonstration will start at 12:30 from Brandenburger. The route will lead via Ebertstrasse, Hannah-Ahrendt-Strasse, Willhelmstrasse, Behrenstrasse, Friedrichstrasse, Reinhardtstrasse, Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse, Otto-von-Bismarck-Allee, Annemarie-Renger-Strasse, Paul-Löbe-Allee, Heinrich-von-Gagern-Strasse, Yitzhak-Rabin-Strasse and Strasse des 17 Juni back to the Brandenburg Gate. Closures will be set up along the route.
VIZ also advises that traffic disruptions around the Messegelände are to be expected on the occasion of the 87th Green Week. If possible, visitors should travel by public transport. Among other things, a free bus shuttle to the fair will be offered from the Olympic Stadium.
