The next heat wave of the summer will cause temperatures, dryness and thus also the risk of forest fires to rise significantly again in Berlin and Brandenburg from midweek.
According to the German Weather Service (DWD) in Potsdam, after 26 to 29 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the thermometer will show values of 32 to 34 degrees on Wednesday. It will remain dry. On Thursday between 34 and 37 degrees are expected.
The DWD issued an official heat warning initially for 11 AM on Wednesday and 7 PM on Thursday. During the heat wave, some basic rules should be followed, which include avoiding direct sunlight and staying inside during the hottest part of the day. The home should be kept as cool as possible. Make sure you drink enough fluids and take in enough electrolytes. Anyone suffering from circulatory problems, headaches or vomiting should contact a doctor.
