Around 16,000 students are due to take their Abitur exams in Berlin in a few weeks' time.
This was communicated by the Senate Department for Education to the German Press Agency upon request. This time, too, special rules apply for the exams because of the Coronavirus pandemic. Among other things, students will have an additional right to repeat exams in the event of a failed exam.
An additional oral exam is possible in all written examination subjects. For all written examination subjects, including German, English, Mathematics and French, the 30-minute extended exam time continues to apply. According to the Senate Department for Education, the graduation certificates should generally be handed over by July 05, 2022.
