For regular swimmers at Berlin's swimming pools, the previously announced more flexible subscription model will apply from February onwards.
Instead of the previous annual Bädercard, there are now three options available at different prices. For many swimmers, this will work out cheaper over the course of a year. It will be more expensive, however, for those who purchase discounted cards.
The previous Bädercard cost €495 per year, or €275 with a discount. The new basic rate costs €30 per month, or €360 per year (€276 with a discount). However, this only allows you to swim twice a week in category 2 and 3 pools. The Flex tariff for unlimited swimming in all pools costs €38 per month or €456 per year (reduced rate €360). And for the Plus tariff, which allows you to bring a companion, you have to pay €70 per month or €840 (reduced rate €648) per year.
The subscriptions are purchased online, have a minimum term of three months and begin on the first day of the month. They can be paused for six consecutive months, for example during the summer or winter season.
