Coup

Coup Elektroroller

The Bosch subsidiary Coup offers motorcycle scooters for hire in Berlin according to the car sharing principle.

Note: The rental scooter provider Coup has ceased operations since mid-December 2019. The scooters were bought by the supplier Tier and will be operated under the new label from May.

The technology behind the electric scooters from Coup comes from the Asian start-up Gogoro, which has developed reliable scooters and replaceable batteries. The scooters are emission-free and have a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour. They can be driven by license holders aged 18 and over.

Registration

Users must download the provider's free app. The driving license is then checked using the app. In addition, the credit card data must be submitted.

How to rent and pricing

You can borrow Coup scooters via the app. If a suitable scooter is found nearby, it can be unlocked via the app, too. A helmet is included in the price and comes with every scooter. Whoever uses a coup scooter pays 21 cents per minute. A scooter must be rented for at least ten minutes. In addition, prepaid packages can be purchased.

Return

The scooter may be parked anywhere within the business area. There are no fixed stations. The rental process is terminated via the app.
