Oply

Oply

Oply offers four different car classes in Berlin for short-term rental. The operator also offers carsharing in the cities of Hamburg and Munich.

As with all other sharing providers, the rental of vehicles from Oply works via the associated app. Oply also offers a convertible and a van in its vehicle fleet. Vehicles can also be booked up to six months in advance.

Cars for the neighbourhood

Oply does not rely on the free-floating principle like other providers. The cars have their home in a particular neighborhood. Within a certain area marked in the app, the car can be rented and parked again.

Vehicles and equipment

Oply provides four vehicle types for rent in Berlin. The nimble Ford Fiesta can also carry children, thanks to the booster seat included. With the Mazda MX5 Cabrio, tenants can enjoy the sun when the weather is fine. The Ford Focus with a booster seat is the perfect car for a family outing. If you are planning a move or a purchase in a furniture store, you can fall back on the Renault Trafic.

Registration and Validation

To take advantage of Oply's offer, customers must download the provider's free app onto their smartphone. After registration, the driver's license is checked. This usually takes two working days. After registration, the vehicles can be used at the available locations in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

How to rent and pricing

Oply cars can be booked both flexibly and planned up to six months in advance. For flexibly booked cars the maximum rental period is 12 hours, for scheduled rentals the car has to be booked for a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 27 days. There is no monthly fee, only the actual time for using the vehicle must be paid. The usage fee starts at 6 Euro per hour and changes depending on the type of vehicle. Petrol up to 150 kilometres is included in the rental price per booking, after that 0.19 Euro per kilometre are due.

Refueling and return

Refuelling is carried out via a fuel card in the car, which can be used at all filling stations in the DKV network. The nearest suitable filling station can be found easily via the app. Refuelling is always necessary when the fuel gauge drops below 25 percent. The costs for insurance, taxes and parking are included. Parking the cars is possible within the defined neighbourhood area as shown in the app. Driving abroad is no problem, a total of 18 countries are on the permitted list.
