The festival for Italian specialities at Osthafen Berlin is a cultural journey through Italy: from north to south.
This is where the diversity of regional Italian cuisine comes together. Every dish represents a tradition, a family, a story. In addition to pizza and pasta specialties, the food stalls and food trucks will offer arrosticini from Abruzzo, piadine from the north, panzerotti from Apulia, Sicilian arancini and cannoli, as well as pinsa and porchetta from Rome. Two new specialties from the region of Sardinia will be added: fregola (traditional pasta made from durum wheat semolina in small, toasted balls) and culurgiones (dumplings, usually filled with potatoes, pecorino, and mint).
The food festival will be accompanied by live music from The Limoncellos on Saturday, The Jakkle Band on Sunday, a performance by Martina Attili, an Italian singer-songwriter, DJ sets, Italian karaoke sessions and children’s activities.
