The Berlin Food Week offers professional chefs, home cooks and foodies a platform for enjoyment and exchange.
In addition to various events, restaurant specials and workshops, networking events and a conference are also planned for Food Week in October. In terms of content, the theme weeks will focus on regional and international cuisine, nutritional awareness and enjoyment, sustainability and consumption.
The highlight for many foodies is undoubtedly the House of Food at the Bikini Berlin shopping center where local manufacturers, international brands, regional producers and innovative start-ups present their latest products. Special focus is on sustainable, organic and vegetarian-vegan products. The House of Food is not only intended as a tasting and shopping event: visitors are invited to get into conversation with exhibitors and other foodies. Admission to the House of Food is free of charge.
With the program, the organizers want to address people who appreciate good food as well as chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, institutions, journalists, foodies and bloggers. The Berlin Food Week sees itself as an open-source platform whose vision is to let the lifestyle metropolis Berlin rise to an international food metropolis in the long run.
