The two-day food festival at Jules B-Part at Gleisdreieck offers a glimpse into the diverse cuisine and culture of Latin America.
In addition to traditional dishes from various parts of Latin America such as empanadas, tacos, quesadillas and nachos, the street food stands offer new takes on classic dishes. The dishes reflect the cultural connections between Latin America, the Caribbean and other parts of the world. Highlights include Brazilian pão de queijo, Ecuadorian llapingachos with spicy sauce, grilled meat and chorizo skewers and Venezuelan hot dogs with a selection of homemade sauces. Handmade alfajores, churros and tropical ice cream and slush creations are sure to delight those with a sweet tooth.
The La Mambita dance school in Schöneberg offers a variety of free dance workshops, ranging from Cuban salsa and bachata to Los Angeles- and New York-style salsa and cha-cha-cha. At the end of each festival day, a Latin DJ set provides the perfect beats to keep the party going.
