From the internationally renowned Berlinale to smaller festivals revolving around a particular genre or country, Berlin's film festivals offer many highlights for cineastes and movie lovers. more
The name of the festival goes back to a typical ending of classic horror films: after gruesome and terrifying experiences, a female, usually young survivor is left behind. She is the "final girl" while the other protagonists have died in the course of the movie. This ending cannot be ruled out at the Final Girls Festival either, and those interested can look forward to thrilling horror off the beaten track. The festival will take place for the 12th time in 2027.
