For over 50 years, Sehsüchte has been bringing the cinematic perspectives of new generations from all over the world to the big screen.

Sehsüchte is Europe’s largest international student film festival. The festival aims both to provide invited filmmakers with a platform for their films and to actively foster exchange amongst them. The festival offers insights into the cinema of the next generation – featuring diverse voices, moving stories and fresh perspectives.

Sehsüchte 2027: Program

The 2027 programme ranges from international films to music videos and film scores, as well as a retrospective and live performances. There is also a dedicated programme for children and young people. Numerous filmmakers will be in attendance to present their work and engage with the audience.

Europe’s Largest International Student Film Festival

There is also plenty to discover away from the cinema on the festival campus in Potsdam. Workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions and live screenings complement the film programme. There are also VR films, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in their worlds right there on site, and a closing party to mark the end of the festival together.
