For one month, the district of Pankow celebrates the diversity of its art scene with the Artspring festival, which takes place for the 9th time this year.
The Pankow art season starts with numerous events and different formats. The motto of the 2025 Artspring Art Festival is "[ˈapɡəˌfakt] - something is broken here". With this, the festival wants to draw attention to the difficult situation of Berlin's cultural policy. The program shows its diverse side every year. In addition to exhibitions in galleries, project spaces and public spaces, concerts, performances, readings and more are also planned.
The festival’s motto for 2026 is “There was no oar”. Inspired by a folk song, it symbolises setting off into the unknown and working creatively with the resources at hand. At the same time, it describes the festival’s ongoing cycle, which requires improvisation, motivation and perseverance.
