The African Book Festival presents contemporary literature and current literary debates of the African continent.
Under the motto "In Other Wor(l)ds", authors and artists from Africa and the diaspora are putting together a colorful program of lectures, music, discussions, interviews, theater performances and - of course - book presentations. The festival will once again take place at the Alte Münze in Mitte on five stages and a large open-air area.
This year's African Book Festival will once again feature music, comedy and live performances. A special highlight is the Book Club Special, which takes place on Sunday. This is where Berlin literature enthusiasts meet book clubs from Africa. A total of 16 book clubs from various African countries are traveling to Berlin for this event.
