With more than 300 events, the Berlin Science Week aims to bring Berlin as a science location into the public spotlight.

The Science Week, which is coordinated by the Falling Walls Foundation, is an international platform where representatives from science and society meet annually in the capital. Here, 140 organizations from Germany and abroad, including universities, research institutions and companies invite international experts to specialized events. But the Berlin public is also invited to experience the broad spectrum of scientific topics in a wide variety of events such as discussions, workshops and performances.

2026 Theme: “In Touch”

The theme of Science Week 2026 is “In Touch,” which highlights the personal side of science. The focus is on the people behind the research, their stories, and the question of how science fosters connection and how new links between research and society are formed.

New Festival Center at the HKW

The new festival center is located at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW). The new venue offers space for lectures, discussions, and interactive event formats and will serve as the festival’s central gathering place.
