The Positions Berlin Art Fair takes place in Hangars of the former Tempelhof Airport.
The international art scene thrives on the discovery and rediscovery of qualitative art and an animated discourse. The artworks presented at Positions Berlin are focused on relevance and topicality. New as well as established contemporary works stand next to works of classical modernism. Instead of the usual categorizations, new perspectives are to be opened up here.
The hangars of the former Tempelhof Airport serve as the venue for the art fair. Here, art is presented in classic exhibition booths and curated exhibitions but also in special presentations of successful creative award winners. Exhibiting artists in recent years have included Julian Opie, Julia Bornefeld, Christopher Meerdo, Lukas Glinkowski, Christophe Delbeeke, Luo Yang and Laurent Chéhère.
This year, the Positions Berlin Art Fair presentes more than 60 exhibitors with works by over 200 artists from over 30 countries - including Spain, the Baltic States, Japan, Canada and the USA. Newcomers are represented as well as established galleries with a long exhibition tradition.
