Stargazing, asking questions and immersing yourself in strange galaxies: stargazers are invited to the Long Night of Astronomy 2026.
During the Long Night of Astronomy in Berlin, questions about observations in the sky and the vastness of the universe will be answered.
Star enthusiasts of all ages meet experts and fellow amateur astronomers at the Long Night of Astronomy. In addition, a variety of telescopes are available each year, inviting visitors to gaze up at the stars. In Berlin, the Long Night of Astronomy is celebrated in and around the Zeiss Großplanetarium. Once again, the event will be held at many planetariums, observatories and other institutions throughout Germany.
The venue opens its doors at 5 p.m. and offers a colorful program for stargazers of all ages. The live broadcast of the solar eclipse can be viewed in the movie theater. Around the Planetarium, there are numerous interactive hands-on activities to discover - from craft stations to telescope observations and exciting lectures, all the way to our mobile planetarium "Intense." If the skies are clear, visitors can also observe the Perseids, which will reach their peak that same night and provide the annual meteor shower.
