The international street theater festival Berlin lacht! (Berlin laughs!) brings extraordinary artists from different nations to Berlin.
Berlin lacht! brings the shrill, colorful and popular flair of the 1920s back to Berlin: breaking conventions, conjuring up surprising moments in everyday life and bringing theater directly and immediately to the audience.
On these days, young circus stars tell stories, acrobats dance on the ground and in the air. Variety and circus traditions are revived and celebrated. Characteristic clown theater performed by old masters and newcomers, exotic musical comedy, puppet theater and fast-paced fire shows.
Admission to the street theater festival is free. All artists perform for the audience and if visitors like something, they can feed the artists' hungry hats.
