On the grounds of the former Tegel Airport, visitors can look forward to many attractions and demonstrations at the open day of the Berlin Fire Department.

Operational demonstrations will be the highlight of the Fire Department's open day. For curious visitors, there will be vehicle exhibitions and a colorful program showcasing all the different aspects of working at the fire department. Around 600 firefighters and their partners - aid organizations, authorities and companies from the medical and security sectors - will be working in front of and behind the scenes to offer visitors an exciting, informative and entertaining day. As every year, the majority of them are volunteers.
