The Lesbian and Gay City Festival takes place around Nollendorfplatz in the area bounded by Motzstraße, Eisenacher Straße, Fuggerstraße and Kalckreuthstraße. The celebration and parties draw more than 400,000 visitors each year, making the area one of Berlin's most popular neighbourhoods for the weekend.

The festival features an entertainment programme with live music, dozens of information booths and market stalls, a wide range of culinary treats, and performances and exhibitions curated by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups. It also offers comprehensive information about LGBT culture in the world of sports, film and politics.
