The Kindl – Center for Contemporary Art is participating in the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival.

  • Hufeisensiedlung in Neukölln

The Hufeisensiedlung is one of the venues for the Berlin Industrial Culture Festival and invites visitors to learn more about this Unesco World Heritage Site.

The festival invites you to discover the capital's historic industrial sites and their history.

For three weeks, the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival (German: Festival der Berliner Industriekultur) will shine a spotlight on the capital’s industrial history. To kick things off on Open Heritage Day, historic factories, power plants, workshops and other industrial sites throughout Berlin will open their doors. Visitors can look forward to around a hundred events, including guided tours, exhibitions, concerts and bike tours. They’ll have the chance to discover both well-known buildings and hidden gems off the beaten path and learn about their history.

Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival: Program Highlights

The program for the Berlin Industrial Culture Festival is as diverse as the capital itself. Highlights include the opening of the "Walk of Fame" in Schöneweide, guided tours of a hangar at Gatow Airfield that has not previously been open to the public, tours of the former Kindl Brewery building, a DJ party at the U-Bahn Museum, city tours in a historic vintage bus, and guided tours of the Hufeisensiedlung Unesco World Heritage Site. Advance registration is required for some events.
