In 2026, the Hamburger Bahnhof will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special anniversary program.
On November 3, 1996, the Hamburger Bahnhof opened its doors as a museum for contemporary art and has since established itself as one of the most important venues for contemporary art in Germany and Europe. To mark its 30th anniversary, the National Gallery of Contemporary Art is presenting a year-long program of celebrations with eight new exhibitions, performances, concerts, and an international conference. Popular formats such as Open House and Berlin Beats will also be continued and expanded.
The highlight of the anniversary year will be the celebration weekend from November 13 to 15, 2026. The museum will open its doors for a 30-hour special program with free admission. Visitors can look forward to art, music, and discourse.
More information will follow closer to the event.
In its anniversary year 2026, the Hamburger Bahnhof will be showing the following eight new exhibitions.
