With its romantic setting and magnificent illuminations, the Christmas market at Charlottenburg Palace is popular with Berliners and visitors alike for good reason.
With around 250 international vendors, the gardens in front of the palace, together with the man courtyard and areas of the palace grounds themselves, become a Christmas ensemble for 30 days.
Every winter, the impressive Charlottenburg Palace is romantically and colorfully illuminated at Christmas time. With glittering light installations, discreet laser beams and colorful lights, the palace square invites you to take a romantic and cozy stroll around the stands. You will look in vain for plastic decorations in the outdoor decorations: the use of natural materials creates a nostalgic atmosphere at the Christmas market at Charlottenburg Palace.
In addition to arts and crafts and the usual roasted almonds, the stalls in wooden huts or pagoda tents also offer unusual gift ideas and invite you to go Christmas shopping. There is also plenty to keep children's eyes shining: two children's carousels and a small Ferris wheel await riders. In heated tents, hungry Christmas market visitors will find snacks for the small appetite or complete menus.
The Christmas market scores with its close proximity to several renowned museums - such as the Berggruen Museum and the Bröhan Museum. This makes it easy to combine an inspiring museum visit with a Christmas excursion. If you still need some exercise afterwards, you can explore the palace grounds.
