In January, the Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR) collects the disused Christmas trees: the dates for each district.
The disused Christmas trees from Christmas 2024 will be collected in Berlin between January 08 and January 21, 2025. They can then be placed at the side of the road, where they will be collected by the Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR).
Before placing your disused Christmas tree on the curb for collection, you need to remove any and all decorations from the tree. Under no circumstances should the tree be packed in a plastic bag - not even if the tree is already cut into smaller pieces. In order for the trees to be collected, they must be places roadside by 6 a.m. at the latest on the day of collection or the evening before.
