FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 – We own the Game
Pure passion, female empowerment, and world-class basketball: From September 4 to 13, 2026, Berlin will be transformed into the international stage for women's basketball! The 16 best teams in the world will battle it out for the basketball crown at the Berlin Arena and Max-Schmeling-Halle. It is the first Women's World Cup on German soil since 1998 – it will be an unforgettable sporting highlight.
Germany in the spotlight
Following its recent successes, the German women's national team is generating enthusiasm and visibility: Olympic qualification for 2024, Olympic gold in 3x3, and a historic 5th place at the Women's EuroBasket 2025 have catapulted the team into the international spotlight. And now the next step is to be taken on home turf. Along with the host, Belgium, the USA, Nigeria, and Australia have already qualified for the tournament. In March 2026, the last eleven tickets for the tournament will be decided in a thrilling qualifying tournament.
