While taking a short stroll around the coat-of-arms fountain, mothers and their families can discover beautiful gifts at the market stalls of the Art on Sunday (German: Kunst am Sonntag) market. Among the artisanal products on display are one-of-a-kind hand-thrown ceramics, turned bowls, crocheted baskets, unique headwear, diverse jewelry designs crafted from select materials, prints and watercolors, beautiful laser-engraved objects, paper and book art, handmade lighting fixtures, wallets and other gift items. A small, curated selection of food and drinks accompanies the art market - from hearty flatbreads and Wagyu beef dishes to freshly prepared pasta. The design market takes place at Ludwig-Beck-Platz as part of the Wine Spring festival (Weinfrühling).
