Even though the popular "Myfest" does not take place this year, many party fans will still flock to Kreuzberg's Mariannenplatz on the first of May.
Starting at 10 a.m., the open air rave "Slust Openair" will invite partiers to dance all day long on Mariannenplatz. There will also be a rally and the May Day celebration of the Left Party.
The program of the May Day festival in Kreuzberg includes lots of live music under the open sky as well as various speeches against fascism, racism and exclusion. There will also be age-appropriate activities for families with children. Musically, visitors can look forward to rap, hip hop and lots of techno. Between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., the following artists will perform: Liam Wiliams, Konta, Núria, Carmel Zoum, Mehr is Mehr, Camaro, Grace Thompson, Graf Fidi, DJ Crytal Girl, O.B.1., Sorah, Nakadia, DJ Craft, Mijk van Dijk and Sylent.
During the revolutionary May Day protests, which this year start at 6 p.m. at the Boddinstraße subway station and then move towards Mariannenplatz, the May Day festival will be paused momentarily.
