Every year, short and feature films from Lithuania are shown at the "Lithuanian Cinema Goes Berlin" festival in the Sputnik and Acud cinemas. It is the only festival outside Lithuania with a focus on national film productions.
Long films, short films, documentaries and significant films from the past will be shown. During the festival, visitors can enjoy an insight into the entire range of Baltic film culture.
This year's festival will open with the short film series “The Five Ways of Celebration,” which explores different forms of celebration and provides a glimpse into the Lithuanian soul. Each of the short films shows in a special way how life is celebrated in Lithuania. Other highlights include the “Female Shorts” section with current films by Lithuanian female directors, the “Festival Pearls” series with four Berlin premieres, and a workshop panel on the topic of intelligence in film.
