Since 2002, the Zebra Poetry Film Festival has presented the current state of a dynamic short film genre between poetry, film and new media.
As the world's oldest and most well-established poetry film festival, the Zebra Festival celebrates both art forms across disciplines. It offers poets, film and festival makers a broad space to meet the public and exchange ideas and experiences. With media art exhibitions, poetry readings and performances, it creates new stimuli and inspiration; aesthetic issues are discussed in colloquia, and retrospectives, lectures and film programs with various focuses complement the competition for the best poetry films from around the world.
The House of Poetry is presenting films in three programs focused on the themes of myth, grief, and connections. In addition, an international competition will be held over two days, divided into two blocks.
