Easter Bonfire in Spandau

People at the Easter bonfire

A traditional Easter bonfire is lit every year in the Gatow district of Spandau.

The Berlin Gatow Volunteer Fire Department hosts a spectacular Easter bonfire every year. What started with 80 spectators has now grown to at least 7,000. Barbecue food and homemade cakes are provided. The popular Easter egg hunt for younger guests starts at 4 p.m., and the bonfire is lit at around 5 p.m.
