The Women's Basketball World Championship will be held in Berlin in 2026.

In September 2026, Berlin will become the center of international women’s basketball. Under the motto "Time for Her Game," the tournament will highlight female empowerment, equality and diversity. Sixteen national teams will compete for the world championship title at the Uber Arena and the Max-Schmeling-Halle. The tournament will begin with a group stage, followed by thrilling knockout rounds leading up to the grand final. As the host country, Germany is automatically qualified and will thus return to the biggest stage in international women's basketball for the first time since 1998.

Germany in Group A

The German team will face Spain on September 4, Japan on September 5, and Mali on September 7 to conclude the group stage. The group winner advances directly to the quarterfinals, while the second- and third-place teams will compete in a playoff round for a spot in the quarterfinals. The final will take place on September 13.
