Under the motto "Together for Peace and Understanding", Berlin is celebrating Unesco World Heritage Day with exciting activities.
Unesco World Heritage Day offers everyone interested a glimpse behind the scenes of these extraordinary buildings. Of the 1,157 World Heritage sites worldwide, 51 are located in Germany, including three in Berlin: Museum Island, the six Berlin Modernist housing estates, and the palaces and parks of Potsdam and Berlin.
The theme for 2026 is: "Together for Peace and Understanding." Visitors can look forward to a diverse program featuring special tours and guided walks. At the same time, the Museum Island Festival celebrating the 200th anniversary will take place on Museum Island, while guided tours will be offered in all six Berlin Modernist neighborhoods. In addition, the palaces and parks of Potsdam and Berlin invite visitors to explore them.
