The Bauhaus Music Festival celebrates the interwoven relationships between Bauhaus and music.
Under the theme "Sound as Color, Color as Sound," the Bauhaus Music Festival explores the concept of synesthesia and combines music with color, space, the body and movement. The concert program spans avant-garde, classical, experimental and jazz genres. In 2026, the festival will take place at St. Elisabeth Church in Mitte.
On Friday, the program features works by Lyonel Feininger, Richard Wagner, Stefan Wolpe and Arnold Schoenberg. On Saturday, "Klangfarben" will be performed, featuring works by Alexander Scriabin, Franz Liszt, Tōru Takemitsu and Claude Debussy as well as Olivier Messiaen's "Quatuor pour la fin du temps." In addition, several free workshops will be held.
