The motto of the 2025 Berlin Philharmonic Biennale was "Paradise lost? - On the threat to nature" and focused on the dangers of climate change and species extinction.

The program of the Berliner Philharmoniker Biennale in 2025 was once again diverse: works such as Debussy's La Mer and Beethoven's Pastorale paid homage to the beauty of nature, while Brett Dean's Fire Music showed the destructive effects of a bushfire. The motto for the 2027 Biennale is not yet known.

Concerts, Guided Tours, Readings, Exhibitions and More

Although the focus of the festival is on music, the theme is complemented by other formats. Discussions, lectures and collaborations with other orchestras and museums will deepen the festival's motto. The aim is to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities of our environment.
