Biennale of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra

Chefdirigent Kirill Petrenko

The Principal Conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Kirill Petrenko.

The motto of the 2025 Berlin Philharmonic Biennale is "Paradise lost? - On the threat to nature" and focuses on the dangers of climate change and species extinction.

The program of the Berliner Philharmoniker Biennale in 2025 is once again diverse: works such as Debussy's La Mer and Beethoven's Pastorale pay homage to the beauty of nature, while Brett Dean's Fire Music shows the destructive effects of a bushfire.

Concerts, Guided Tours, Readings, Exhibitions and More

Although the focus of the festival is on music, the theme is complemented by other formats. Discussions, lectures and collaborations with other orchestras and museums will deepen the festival's motto. The aim is to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities of our environment.
