Bridge Festival in Schöneweide

Luftballon (2)

Music, open-air cinema, an arts and crafts flea market, theater performances and exhibitions: At the Bridge Festival, the district of Schöneweide shows its diverse cultural offerings.

The occasion for the summer festival is the 16th anniversary of the Kaisersteg. The 140-meter-long cable-stayed bridge connects the districts of Nieder- and Oberschöneweide. The main program of the festival will take place on the square at the Kaisersteg. The adjacent cultural venues - including the Reinbeckhallen, the Industriesalon Schöneweide, the Spreehalle, MaHalla, Jazzkeller '69 and Novilla - will also host events for the summer festival.

Bridge Festival: Program Highlights

The festival will be ceremoniously opened at noon on the square at the Kaisersteg Bridge. Afterwards, a stage program with concerts, circus and dance performances will entertain festivalgoers. An arts and crafts market will open on the path of the old crane railroad. On the opposite bank of the Spree, visitors can browse the traditional neighborhood flea market starting at 1 .pm. Inside the Reinbeckhallen, an old bus is transformed into a sound studio. Meanwhile, the Industriesalon will present the history of the Kaisersteg in various formats.
