Design as a driving force for social and ecological change: Every spring, designers, artists, companies and universities present new ways of thinking and fresh ideas at the Berlin Design Week.

The Design Week places a strong focus on the topics of sustainable communication and design. The program consists of exhibitions, workshops, discussion rounds, guided tours and panels. The Design Week sees itself as a forum for creative exchange and as a mediation platform between the various disciplines. In 2026, the Berlin Design Week will take place for the tenth time.

Festival Center at the Macherei

In 2026, the Berlin Design Week festival center will be located for the first time at the Macherei in Kreuzberg on Hallesches Ufer. Key festival events will be concentrated there. A citywide network of satellite locations complements the main hub, including design studios, galleries, agencies, and universities.
