Baroque Days at the Berlin State Opera

In 2023, the State opera Unter den Linden will celebrate the festival for the fifth time.

The aim of the Baroque Days is to revive the original sound of the 18th century. This year, Medea will make a triple appearance as part of the Baroque Days. The opera by Marc-Antoine Charpentier from the late 17th century will be performed, as well as versions by Luigi Cherubini from the late 18th century and Georg Anton Benda from the 1770s. Also on the programme are the children's opera "Theseus' Journey to the Underworld" and "Mitridate, Re di Ponto" by Mozart.
