Since 2016, Berlin's independent performing arts scene has presented itself every year in May at the Performing Art Festival.
In the past years, the Performing Arts Festival presented the works and artistic positions of Berlin's independent scene at more than 40 venues. Visitors could look forward to a great variety of works and performances.
With the aim of representing the diversity of the independent performing arts scene in Berlin and making it visible on a large scale, the Performing Arts Festival follows in the footsteps of the 100° Berlin Festival. The latter reflected the wide range of independent theatre and performance artists in Berlin for twelve years until 2015.
